I have just finished knitting the perfect sweater. I am sure it is the best thing I have ever knitted, the other "best thing I ever knitted" projects not withstanding. Isn't that always the way; you finish a project and you either want to shove it to the bottom of your bottom-most drawer, wondering "What was I thinking?", or it you think it is the best thing you have ever done?

Twist Collective 2008
Yarn: Green Mountain Spinnery Yarn Over in green. I made the 40" size and used slightly over 9 skeins of yarn. The pattern calls for 10, but I tend to knit fewer rows per inch than the pattern specified. This also worked to my advantage as I needed my sweater to be a little longer than the original pattern.
I love the shaping, the seams, and the garter stitch hem. I will admit however that I was cursing under my breath that I would NEVER finish that hem as I sat picking up the stitches from the provisional cast on and started knitting what seemed like endless garter stitch rows.
The end result was definitely worth it.

It certainly it's a beautiful sweater!
Is it the hem knitted with a circular needle? How long it took you to make it? I am planning to make it for my mother but not sure if I will be able to finish it on time

That is a beautiful sweater, kind of sweater and scarf all in one, with a wonderful drape. Nice work!

Of course this is the best sweater you have knitted (in a timeframe, defined as narrowly as you want).

You're right it is the best thing you've ever knitted! I love the shape, the drape, and the cable is so cool. And, it's green, the best color.
