I see that I was overconfident in my predictions of finished objects. Nothing is finished, although progress is being made.
Mine is almost finished. It is finished except for the beads. It looks fabulous on, and I can see that I will wear it a great deal.
But I do want beads. And unfortunately the beads I purchased were too small. Perhaps I missed something, but the pattern did not seem to say what size beads, and I, silly me, purchased beads that were woefully small. New beads have been ordered and once again Mine waits.
I also finished knitting the Green Gedifra sweater, but that too took a little longer than anticipated primarily because I messed up the neckline shaping the first time through it. I was juggling knitting and attentions from a kitten, and although the shape of the sweater seems quite obvious on the blocking board, in my lap, with such large, lacy stitches, I got completely confused and reversed the neckline and armhole shaping. It was not pretty. Luckily it was easily enough ripped and repaired.
This sweater is far lighter than the bamboo tape and will undoubtedly dry faster; it may be ready for assembly tomorrow. We have plans to go to a concert tomorrow evening so I may not get to it though.
Of course, if we actually go to the concert it will be the first time in months that we have progressed from the planning to attend to actually attending an event. That will be worth a celebration.
Can't wait to see Mine all finished. I love that pattern. Best of luck on the concert. I should say I hope you made it, as I guess it's already 'tomorrow'. :)
