I posted my own food memories.

Fascinating post, M. Now I'm having to consider my own relationship to food memory. I have a lot of opinions about how my food (esp. pastry) should taste and more specifically what its texture should be. Maybe I developed this in childhood? I'm particularly interested to read that your parents cooked rather exotic food when you were a child. Indian. Chinese. I never had that made at home (though we did go out for it).
